The Program on Developing and Measuring KPIs
As part of the ongoing collaboration between King Khalid University and the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the university organized a training program titled “Developing and Measuring Key Performance Indicators.” The program targeted Civil Defense personnel with the aim of enhancing their capabilities in applying performance measurement standards and achieving institutional efficiency.
The program was delivered by Mr. Mohammed bin Shayeh Al-Nahari, Director General of the General Department of Human Resources at King Khalid University. It covered various topics, including the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs), methods for measuring them, and their significance in improving administrative processes and ensuring the quality of outputs. Additionally, the program emphasized linking KPIs to strategic objectives to achieve sustainable results that enhance institutional performance.
This course is part of the university’s continuous efforts to strengthen its partnerships with government entities and reaffirm its role in developing national competencies, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Participants from the Civil Defense expressed their gratitude to King Khalid University and Mr. Mohammed bin Shayeh Al-Nahari for delivering exceptional training content. They praised the importance of the program in enhancing institutional performance and improving operational efficiency.

Alnahari Reviews Last Year's Achievements and Departmental Managers
The Director General of Human Resources at King Khalid University, Mr. Mohammed Shaya Al-Nhari, reviewed on Monday morning at the Departmental Managers of the General Department of Human Resources in the administrative tower of the University City of Qura 'a, the achievements of the General Department of Human Resources during the past year and its fourth consecutive ISO 9001:2015 certificate.
At the beginning of the meeting, Alnahari gave a detailed account of the achievements of the General Human Resources Department, which included developing human resources policies, improving recruitment and training processes, as well as enhancing the internal working environment and increasing the efficiency of administrative processes. He also noted efforts to improve internal communication and motivate staff to achieve the highest levels of performance.
During his review, Al-Nhari added that the General Human Resources Management website has witnessed significant improvements in its design and content, making it easier for employees and clients to access information and services faster and more efficiently in both Arabic and English languages. Those developments were part of a trend towards digitization and streamlining administrative procedures in keeping with recent technical developments.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Nahari expressed his thanks and gratitude to all colleagues of the General Department of Human Resources for their efforts, which culminated in the Department's obtaining the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for the fourth time in a row. That achievement reflected the Department's commitment to the highest standards of quality throughout its operations.
In a move to honour outstanding efforts, HR managers were honored for their significant contributions to achieving these achievements, as they were awarded recognition certificates to express gratitude for their efforts in leading task forces and achieving the desired goals.
In his closing statement, Al-Nhari stressed the importance of continued teamwork and dedication to further future successes, stressing that the general management of human resources will always be keen on continuous development and innovation in the field of human resources management.
